Publisher's summary

And now, the infamous Rusty Wilson shares some of the stranger campfire stories he's collected as a fly fishing guide - stories all on the creepy and wild side, stories that will leave goosebumps up and down your arms and chill your bones, campfire or not!

Follow along as two whacky paleontologists experience the dinosaur dig of their lives (and perhaps the last one of their lives) - and maybe helping a hippie backpacker sneak through the backwoods at the Canadian border isn't such a good idea after all - then there's the story of a love that can't die, even though the lovers are both long gone - and a story that has the double whammy of both a ghost and a Bigfoot - and the tale of an impossible rescue from an avalanche that shows the meaning of true love, provided you're not too creeped out to feel the compassion - and there's the story about an Alaskan bush pilot who foresees his own future, as well as that of his friend - and also the story that asks if the land remembers tragic events...

Also included is Rusty's famous story, The Canadian Mountie, a strange tale about destiny, and whether or not some of us can foretell our life stories.

Stories that will leave you wanting more - but only if you don't want to sleep at night.

Wild, Weird and Touching Tales from the Master

This book is a collection of great unusual campfire stories from master storyteller Rusty Wilson. Unlike many of his other campfire books, this does not focus exclusively on Bigfoot, although there is a Bigfoot story among the collection. The stories told are unusual, touching, poignant and humorous. They stay with you. I particularly love the Canadian Mounty and Bone Games stories. One is very touching and the other is wild, weird and fun. I will leave it to the reader to discover the gems for yourself. All are the usual high caliber gems Rusty is known for. His books really come alive and are brought to life by the deft vocal talents of Richard Henzel. Mr. Henzel narrates most of his other books and has an innate gift for storytelling. It's as interesting to listen to this book as to read it. If you enjoy this great collection of tales, check out Rusty's Bigfoot Campfire series of books. The stories are just as great and highly addicting. Check out his blog for more great fun as well.

Good stories and wonderfully cozy narration!

I came to know this book by looking up what other book Richard Henzel has narrated, since I liked his voice and how he tells stories when I read a couple of RV living books. The stories in this book are mildly suspenseful but not too scary, which I liked. I am not Rusty Wilson's 'big foot' story followers, but really enjoyed all of the mysterious stories this book contained. Richard Henzel's narration was awesome as always, cozy and warm, perfect for entertainment on the road or just relax by the fire or candle light at home on a wintery, chilly night. The book will fill you with a little wonder and takes you away from your every day life.

good stories but not real

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

excellent if you are looking for ficional fake but well written real sounding stories, but if you are looking for non fiction authentic real accounts you will not find them here, he is a great storyteller though!
