Special stories

This series touches your heart, the characters are so alive you can feel their emotions. I am all sure if there was a real Virgin River we would all want to live there. This series is exceptional!

Virgin River Series

I really like these books and Robyn Carr's style of writing. The narrator is terrific. In this book you see the story of Brea and Mike coming together and how they fit into the town of Virgin River along with all the folks you already know from reading the previous books.

Another fantastic Robyn Carr book!

I was so excited to see this book added to Audible. It is the third in the series (please give us more!) The story of Mike and Brie was excellent. I loved hearing about all the other characeters we met in the earlier books. Emotions from happy, sad, anger, joy, all the changes that come in real life this book has it. It deals with very real issues that we see in the world today but told in a beautiful way. Love the narrator too. This is a MUST listen book!

I loved every minute of this story...

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Absolutely! It's interesting, the romance is very well developed. And the narrator does an amazing job in differentiating the characters and bringing life and feelings to the story.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Mike was my favorite character. His story is te resting and you can see how he changes through the story.

Which scene was your favorite?

My favorite scene was when Brie came back to Virgin River to see Mike after her ex husband went to see her wanting to get back with her.

If you could take any character from Whispering Rock out to dinner, who would it be and why?

Mike the sexy Latin lover.

Any additional comments?

Great romantic story, and an even better narrator.

Robyn Carr is just a great storyteller

I love this writer. She writes for the modern reader but improves it! Her subjects are current and the interplay between all the characters is so believeable. I can't wait for all the Virgin River series to be available. This subject matter was harder for me to handle but Ms. Carr writes it tastefully as possible. Her characters have honor, caring. She is so worth reading. Don't miss out...Virgin River is still my favorite. But this author ties her books without boring you. Great Narrator..she gives such life to the characters. Thanks Audible for this author.

Another Great Story

What can I say? Great story, great narrator, satisfied customer. This story was very good, and the sub-stories were wonderful with a build up of Vanessa and Paul's story for the future. I did cry when they got word of Matt's death. I really enjoyed this story. Oh yes, Rick finished boot camp and came home for a visit, another lead in for a future story. It was great visiting with Jack, Mel, Preacher and Paige again. Give this series a try, they will become like old friends.

Loved the story. Loved the men.

I loved the ensemble cast and feeling of family and connections between characters. The main love story was well developed and worth the wait for the very hot love scene. I often get bored with characters that are too perfect, but the perfect men in this story were just too good to get bored with. I can't wait to hear more of this story in previous and later books.

Good, but not brilliant

This story features Mike and Brie. Mike, a policeman, is seriously wounded. Her husband has dumped Brie, a prosecutor. He leaves her for her best friend. She ends up paying HIM alimony. Then she is brutally beaten and raped by a man who she prosecuted for serial rape. Brie has had a very tough time. The jury found the serial rapist not guilty because the witnesses were too afraid to testify and Brie could not proved the case against him. The serial rapist attacked Brie to punish her for prosecuting him.

Brie is Jack’s baby sister and Mike, a former Marine, served with Jack in Iraq. Brie and Mike come to Virgin River to heal because it is a perfect place to nurture people who are wounded and hurting. Mike is in love with Brie, but Brie no longer trusts men. In addition, Mike was a player and Jack does not trust him with his baby sister. All in all it is a good story, but there is too much going on with side plots and I found that to be somewhat distracting.
