You feel as though you're sitting in the saddle
This book puts you right in the saddle along side some colorful characters within the old west. I picked the book to listen to as I drove through the Western states on a recent business trip. It proved to be a perfect accompanyment to my journey. The story was so engaging that sometimes I had to finish listening to a part as I idled at a gas pump for an extra few minutes.
You can almost hear the saddle leather creek, feel the steam rise off horse hide in the early morning in the intense "visual" detail within this book. I grew up reading Louis Lamour and other western genre writers of the bygone era and this proved to be a hopeful reminder that there could be a few modern writers, Mr. Heisner among them, that can keep this beautiful "western adventure" alive for a new generation to appreciate.
Now I'll be looking forward to adding a couple more of his books to my next drive.

A book that draws you in!
Would you listen to West to Bravo again? Why?
Yes, I purchased the audio version and listened to it while commuting to and from work. Once I arrived to my destinations, I found myself not wanting to get out of the car and often sat in the car for an additional 10 minutes while finishing the chapters.
What did you like best about this story?
The language used in the book draws you in with its powerful words that paints vivid images of what is happening in the story.
Have you listened to any of Ethan Sawyer’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No, first time listening to Ethan Sawyer; however, he did a great job narrating the story by using different tones and accents for the characters in the book.
Who was the most memorable character of West to Bravo and why?
The most memorable character of West to Bravo would have to be Bear. I believe Bear depicts what cowboys were/are--tough with a Texan drawl.
Any additional comments?
I would highly recommend the book/audio book for those who enjoy a good plot and a thrilling western.
