Publisher's Summary

In one cataclysmic moment, millions around the globe disappear during "the rapture". Those left behind are destined to face war, famine, plagues, and natural disasters so devastating that only one in four people will survive.  Odds are even worse for enemies of the Antichrist and his new world order.  Rayford Steele, Buck Williams, Bruce Barnes, and Chloe Steele band together to form the Tribulation Force.  Their task is clear, and their goal is nothing less than to stand and fight the enemies of God during the seven most chaotic years the planet will ever see.

Horrible Narrator

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Love this series. However the Sound quality and Narrator are terrible. The guy reading ruins the story.

Would you be willing to try another one of Jack Sondericker’s performances?

No, terrible narrator

Good story, terrible audio

This review covers "Left Behind" and "Tribulation Force" as narrated by Jack Sondericker.

I am so disappointed with the audio quality of this recording. It sounds like it was recorded straight off of a cassette which had been wound tightly for a long time. The audio is full of echoes and pre-echoes from where the cassette tape had experienced bleed-through. If you listen through earphones as I do, it's extremely distracting.

Additionally, there is a ton of background noise. Furious pencil-scratching sounds, bangs and clanks...and I'm almost certain I heard a toilet flush at one point.

All of that I could have tolerated, and in fact DID tolerate through Left Behind and much of Tribulation Force.

But then Rabbi Ben-Zion became a major figure, and his badly-done "Hebrew accent" is more than I can stand. If I were Jewish, I'd be insulted. It's one thing to be unable to master an accent, but it's another to make it sound as if the person is channeling a mixture of Donald Duck and Ludwig Von Drake.

I will be returning this series for a refund, but since I love the story itself, I will try again with a different narrator.

Great book bad narrator

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

I would only recommend the one read by Richard Ferrone. NOT JACK SONDERRICKER.

What did you like best about this story?

The story, It is straight from Revalations.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Jack Sondericker?

Anybody. Some of the Jewish accents he does you cant even understand what he is saying.

Was Tribulation Force worth the listening time?

The one read by Richard Ferrone yes.

Any additional comments?

If you search the name of the book there are 3 that come up. A dramatized one, Sonderricker and then Ferrone. Purchase Ferrone.

What an amazing and inspiring story. I'm looking very forward to listening to the 3rd book in this series. I truly hope many others will listen to and enjoy this 2nd book as I have

I Hope Rabbi Ben Judah is not in subsequent books.

Where does Tribulation Force rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Very good.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

The jewish accents are very bad. Hard to understand. But in general the reading of the story is not good. Particularly hate the way Chloe is narrated. Buck doesn't sound like a world class journalist, more like a rube. Nicolae sounds light in the loafers. It takes away from the book for sure.

Good story, terrible narration

While not as good as the first one I did enjoy this book. He tends to get off on a couple tangents that have nothing to do with the main story, but just listen through them anyways.

I really didn’t like the narrator because it’s hard to understand him at times.

good story, but too predictable

I enjoyed overall - solid Christian literature. WAY too much time spent on the teenage-esque "conflicted love story" - to the point where I found it annoying/distracting

Story is great

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would. The story is great.

What did you like best about this story?

It's all good.

Did Jack Sondericker do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

Not really. I have heard better readers.

If you could take any character from Tribulation Force out to dinner, who would it be and why?

Eli and Moishe. I'd want to ask all kinds of questions.
