graphic old west

sometimes hard to listen as very graphic story especially the killing of man and beast. My family settled in Wyo and some of the stories told in this book were related to me by my older relatives before they died. Takes a strong constitution to read this however

Excellent, gritty western.

Excellent story, realistic telling of the old west and the slaughter of the bison for greed. Perfect narrator for this story! If you like westerns, you’ll love this!

Tie my bones to her back

Wow...I could have never guessed what a powerful book I was about to listen to! It was full of emotion, violence, gritty life in the old west and shocking events. The truth is I think that I will be forever changed while thinking of the Native Americans and the Buffalo and the White.

If you can get past the narrator…

The narrator has one of the most annoying voices I’ve ever heard, and sound so robotic that I could barely make it through the story. The story itself, though gruesome, is an accurate reflection of life on the plains, the late 1800s. I love the strong heroine character and really enjoyed the way the author developed each of the characters.
