Publisher's Summary

For best friends Mike, Max, and Ahmad, the bonds of friendship, love, and respect are put to the ultimate test as each one of them is forced to take a long, hard look at themselves and the women they love. They all said their "I do"s, but did they really understand what it meant?

Mike's a bona fide ladies' man. He's smooth, sexy, and he's got all the right moves. There's just one problem: his wife, Mya. She knew what she was getting into when she slipped his ring on her finger, but she'd always hoped that her love would be enough to quench his desire. But now that she's finally admitted that Mike can never be tamed, who will she turn to for comfort? And how will Mike handle it?

Max is a music mogul in the making, and with the support of his wife, Trina, he's bound to succeed. Of course that all depends on what happens with Sharon, who could write a book and give seminars on what it is to be a true ghetto queen.

Ahmad is a born-again virgin, only he can't figure out why. No matter what he does or says, his wife, Shay, refuses to be intimate with him. But what happens when her decision to confide in him is too late?

just an okay read.

the characters were written to be intelligent but made almost idiotic decisions on so many levels. Also, the author did not develop the characters as well. More research should have been done on post partum depression in order for the reader to identify with the character dealing with those symptoms. you were constantly waiting for more realistic responses to the problems that arose. I finished up the book not being able to identify with or care about any of the characters. this was a fairytale ending to realistic situations. In reality not everything ends the way we want. the book is not boring, you just don't care about any of its characters.

Drama filled from the beginning to the end

Great story......i would listen on my way to work and home. Pure entertainment while sitting in traffic. I didnt mine the long commute. Gave me a chance to get into the book and get to know the characters one by one.
The 3 guys have different stories even though theyre friends...... the friendship/brotherhood will get tested. Wish there is a part 2.......
overall I absolutely loved it!!!!!!

Good Book!

I picked this book for my book club before reading it and I was a close call. I actually enjoyed the book... I would certainly recommend it. It wasn't as predictable as other reviews said.

Great Story Line

Would you listen to The Womanizers again? Why?

I enjoyed listening to the story because the reader was fantastic! She really brought the characters to life and did so without attempting to use "different" voices. She read with passion and included sound effects that were right on point.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked this story because it seemed to be clearly written from a male perspective. It was a lot of things wrapped into one. There was scandal, deceit, regret; many emotions involved.

Have you listened to any of Mishi LaChappelle’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I don't remember if I've listened to her before but I would have to say no, because she is extremely memorable. I would listen just because she is the reader.

If you could take any character from The Womanizers out to dinner, who would it be and why?

I would take Shay out to dinner and give a a serious reality check!

Any additional comments?

I didn't like the ending for Ahmad and Shay because I feel she is the only character that did not have to accept responsibility for her ill fated actions. She is the only character that did not face any real consequences or repercussions. I didn't like that Mia's character was left out in the cold and there was no real follow up on her status after Mike.

Nothing Interesting Going On

The book was boring and had nothing going for it. I kept listening to it waiting for a real plot, but didn't really hear one. Plus, why did they allow a woman to read the book? She had to keep changing her voice so that she would sound like a man.

Not a good read

This was a struggle to get through. The narrator was ok, the story was predictable and thin plot. It was also set around the time of 2003-2004 going by the references which was puzzling since the book was just published. The narrator would actually make the sound of the phone ringing and other noises. I won't read this author again if this book was a taste of how he writes.

I wish they had a male narrator

This book was something to do. Typical and poorly performed. All of the women were hood. The men, either whorish dogs or just plain soft.
