Publisher's summary

Nostalgia tastes like root beer, sweet and dark.

Teri is sinking in a morass of pain. Her dream of being a jockey was brutally shattered by an accident that left her broken in every way. Tired of worrying her family, she seeks out the comforts of her childhood - horses and stables and a sweet, blond boy. But the boy is grown now and so is she. Will Teri be able to remove the armor that's been holding her together long enough to find solace in the arms of an old friend?

The Turning Point is a short audio story that takes place after the events in the Blaze of Glory series.

Not sure what to think about this one

It felt incomplete. I don't mind short stories at all, but this one leaves you feeling like you're missing something. It wasn't bad, just should have been longer. There was no sense of compassion for either character, I didn't have time to know whether I liked them or not. I received a free copy and this is my honest review.

A very touching novella

This is a great short Novella . I have listened to the first 3 in the series. Once I saw it was Seth’s story, it was great. This story is about Terri .
Terri don’t know what to do once she gets injured . Terri always wanted to be a great Jockey with her trusted horse . Terri thinks it ends once she gets injured, not only that but her mother is micromanaging .
It’s a great listen

The narrator Heather was good. Her voice was strong and smooth

Independence is something not easily relinquished.

A very short story, giving Teri's outlook, after her accident as a jockey, whilst racing.
We experience her angst at her mother over protective attitude. Teri had experienced a degree of freedom, prior to being injured but feels smothered currently. Only one person seems to understand her and therefore it to him, she reaches out.
Ms Garzon has a wonderful way of being able to put a person's situation and emotional temperament on paper, so you can see life from that person's perspective. The audio rendition only adds to that experience, by adding a voice to the character, making them even more 3 dimensional.

Short and Sweet

Way to short but hopefully just a bridging story.I want to know what happens with the barn when Dec-s crippling influence is removed.

As always with this series, excellent narration.

Short and powerful!

This may be short, but it's packed with a great story. We meet Teri, who was severely injured and now is facing a career change. Coming home may not be the best idea, family just doesn't understand. Until she turns to Seth. It's quick, but powerful and makes me want to listen to the others in this series. My first M Garzon listen, narrated by Heather S Auden, who does a remarkable job and it will not be my last!

Short and sweet

This was a very quick listen. I have not listened to the others in the series but this was good enough to have me going back to start this series. The characters were sweet and love how they grew up together. Can't wait to start the series and know some of the characters and their stories. The narrator did great.
