She did a great job with the emotion that poured from the characters.

Who was the most memorable character of The Thrill of Victory and why?

Judd Mackie. His values, his complexities made him so likable, so desired!

Nice, Light, Feel Good Story Written in 1989

Would you try another book from Sandra Brown and/or Natalie Ross?

Sure, love Sandra Brown. This is NOT a complex, heart stopping, thrill ride. No mystery and little suspense...a sweet romance.

Stevie Corbett is in jeopardy of losing everything she’s sacrificed and worked so hard for – her career, her future. Her life. She has just two weeks to make a monumental decision, but her fate rides on keeping the truth a secret. It’s Judd Mackie’s job to uncover secrets. And he’s spent the last few years dogging Stevie, exposing her for the spoiled glamour girl he believes her to be. Now he has the chance to scoop the story of the year and let the whole world know the truth about Stevie. All he has to do is betray her trust.
Have you listened to any of Natalie Ross’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Great performance and really believable Judd (male character) along with female portrayal.

Any additional comments?

Don't listen in the car with the kiddos - as there are a few 'light' references to sex.

I snatched this on sale and would suggest the same for other listeners as it is only 4.5 hours long and it is a work from 1989. Recommend saving your credit for another Brown book.

The Thrill of a love story done well, I loved it!

I love Sandra Brown books, and this one is no exception. I love how she deals with a sensitive topic like ovarian cancer or ovarian cysts. However this is still a great romance with all the elements that we have come to expect in a romance novel (short story). Stevie and Judd finally come together after years of being at odds with each other. Judd is really a nice guy. Stevie is not so much the spoiled girl Judd thought she was and all the back and forth between these two really create some fiery sexual tension. Judd also shows a great deal of caring and compassion for Stevie and this is really what sold me on this story, I wish I could give it 6 stars.
