Publisher's Summary

The Third Heaven: The Rise of Fallen Stars is book one of a three part series that tells of the fascinating story of the fall of Lucifer. Lucifer, God's perfect creation and who dwelt in his very presence, walked in the midst of the stones of fire. Yet rose up to betray the Lord and bring Heaven itself to civil war. Many tales have referenced this great angelic war but few have sought to explore the dynamic relationships between God and the angelic hosts. Why did a third of heaven seek to overthrow their creator?

See Lucifer and his actions in a light never before seen. Journey back to the beginning, and see the drama unfold before your eyes: As allegiances are broken; choices made, and why all of creation waits for the manifestation of the sons of God. The prequel to the Bible is here!

Astounding

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would recommend this to a friend who who just wants a great read or who has a faith that may want a "What If" look.

What did you like best about this story?

The honesty of the author at the beginning of the book. That world that he crafted of what "could have happened", specifically the depth of friendship between Michael and Lucifer and the power of each choice they and we must make.

What does Angelo Di Loreto bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He did an amazing job giving the characters a life distinctly their own. I think that "EL" sounds a bit like Sean Connery LOL

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I have not even finished yet, however I have a reaffirmation of our value to God as individuals and as a Human Race, despite our flaws and failures.

Any additional comments?

Give the Third Heaven a try and look beyond the visible world back through time and most of all, ask yourself even if these specific events are not true, is there a GOD that we will all answer to one day and will our pride and arrogance destroy us as individuals both here and in eternity? Only you can decide what you will do with the question of GOD.
I hope the next one will be out soon!

A Wolf In Sheep's Clothing

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

I really loved the first 2/3 of this book. The descriptions of the different orders of angels were very clever: Lucifer's order of Draco (Dragon) angels, the silent and invisible Gregori (which turn out to actually be the inspiration for the concept of ghosts) and the Ophanim (Daniel's "Wheels within wheels") which can create "force fields" of lightning, all captured my imagination. The descriptions of Charon (AKA the Grim Reaper) as well the organic, hungry and burning Mountain of Hell were absolutely terrifying. The idea that Ladders to Heaver (Jacob's Ladder) consisted of wormholes that passed between Heaven, Space and Earth was also interesting. So why the 1-Star Review? Because the last third of this book is absolute blasphemy against Christianity. I won't give away the specifics, but Satan actually manages to ascend to having a part of God's power and physically injures the person that we're supposed to accept as being the King of Heaven. The Bible is very clear on the fact that God is the only one who could ever wield His power and that Lucifer can never triumph against God in any way because the devil has no power that He does not allow him to (temporarily) have. I recommend avoiding this one, or, if you don't, at least skipping Act 3.

Great book

At first all the proper English "King James" language kind of bothered me but then I realized it added to the entire story and came to love it. Very descriptive and I could place myself right there with the characters. Story and plot were wonderful and I even caught myself saying I could see that happening. lol
I will purchase the sequel soon..

Dramatic, fit for the big screen

Would you consider the audio edition of The Third Heaven to be better than the print version?

Did not read the print version but the narrator does a fantastic job.

What does Angelo Di Loreto bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Character voices are great.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes. I finished it in almost three days driving between appointments.

Any additional comments?

I hope the author decides to pursue a screen play and produce this book in Hollywood. Blockbuster capable.

Taking it to another level

What made the experience of listening to The Third Heaven the most enjoyable?

This story brought an unknown perspective into how the war in heaven possibly transpired. Although fiction, the story referenced scriptures in a way that allowed the listener to visualize what possibly happened

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Third Heaven?

The final chapters brought in a climax that kept me wanting to listen to more. On my android device, I played it all night wanting to hear what else would transpire. Although knowing from the bible who wins; it still kept me intensely glued to the audio attentively.

What about Angelo Di Loreto’s performance did you like?

Angelo is a natural reader. He immersed himself into each character he played; changing the tone and mood of the voiced character flawlessly. I only hope that he will continue as the reader for the following series stories of this story-line. Angelo Di Loreto is a must have for the continual success of this series. I will recommend this to all my friends who want to get a flawless story read to them, so they too can experience what I did in this story as a listener.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

This story made me look up the Author's website and read a bit more about how he came about writing this novel. I am anxiously anticipating the next book in the series. This first line of three took the Author about 7 years to write and get published. I believe in doing something of this magnitude he should continue seeking direction from God, to make sure that he captures what it is that the Lord wants to share with the listener. I just cant wait to hear whats next!

Any additional comments?

To the Author: Donovan M. Neal; please continue seeking diligently the direction you need in putting to print another deeply written story about our creator that will inspire the reader/listener to seek more about our creator. Thank you.

Interesting

Fanciful look at heaven, far too much violence and the characters lacked depth.

Was interesting but the frequent misquotes were driving me nuts!

Make sure you approach this as pure fiction, it was mostly entertaining but could have been much improved with more thought into the story instead of concentrating on splashes of blue blood.

Yikes!

Archangels, angels and demons of the highest order who appear to be no smarter than prepubescent teens. I was disappointed to see the archangel Michael so poorly portrayed. (Along with the other archangels). I know the author tried to create high biblical fantasy, but he unfortunately missed the opportunity to create something truly great.

I don't recommend this for anyone 18 years old and older.

Thought Provoking

I love books of this genre, however this one in particular has definitely got me thinking. The narrator is excellent and the content of the books does make one think allot about life and what actually happens in heaven before, during and after the fall. Cannot wait to listen to the next one.
