Publisher's Summary

Rayford Steele and the beleaguered Tribulation force scattered across the globe are battling on against evil on the brink of Armageddon. All pretense is gone, even on the part of the Antichrist, as the planet hurtles toward the last battle and ultimate showdown between good and evil. Carpathia’s enemies are seemingly right where he wants them, trapped at Petra with no way out. No one can survive his diabolical attack without some sort of a miracle. The Tribulation Force’s aliases and even their Strong Tower safe house have been compromised, forcing Rayford Steele, Buck Williams, and all the force’s members to flee for their lives while trying to maintain their covert and unrelenting opposition to the Antichrist....

Ok but story predictable and SLOW.

10 books in and this book was slow, predicable and frustrating. I'll move on to #11 hoping for some better story lines.

another great book

another great book in this very interesting series. If this doesn't put the fear of God in you nothing will.... I know it's supposed to be fiction but it does stop and make you wonder if this is how it will go.

Completely different from the rest of the series

Is there anything you would change about this book?

This book just skipped through about 2 years of the Great Tribulation. This was completely different from the rest of the original series where sometimes you'd only make it through a month or 2 per novel. I was pretty disappointed in its description of the judgements too. It breezed through the fresh water turning to blood, the heat plague, and the darkness plagues as if they were just minor details. Very disappointed in the authors compared to the rest of the series. Hoping the last few books aren't as bad now that I'm this far into the series!

Would you ever listen to anything by Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins again?

Yes, this was the first in this series that I through was really bad.

Which character – as performed by Jack Sondericker – was your favorite?

I think he does great with Rayford and Buck. Some of the female voices can be hard to listen to.

Love the authors explanation the God isn't mean

God is holy and sovereign. We may not understand his ways but we can be assured that he loves us and his desire is that all who believe in him shall be saved through his son Jesus who gave his life, and came back to life three days later to save us from our wickedness

Started Slowly but Improved

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Possibly, but as part of the series and not by itself.

Would you recommend The Remnant to your friends? Why or why not?

Possibly, but as part of the series and not by itself.

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

Yes

Could you see The Remnant being made into a movie or a TV series? Who would the stars be?

No

Any additional comments?

I have enjoyed this series of books and have read them all several times. But The Remnant, while still good, wasn't one of my favourites. The first part focused mainly on one event and seemed to drag on interminably, as though the authors needed to fill in time somehow, and I found it hard to follow in places. I thought the second half was better, in which there were more things going on.
