Publisher's summary

Hope Donnigan is finally getting her life together. She's working a job she likes, has some amazing friends, and is steering clear of Mr. Wrong. Now if only she could get her mother to understand that.

Maybe a hot tattoo artist from the other side town is just the ticket to teach her mom a lesson.

J.T. Webster fell for Hope months ago at his sister's wedding. So when she propositions him to be her fake boyfriend to get her mother off her back, he's all in. The only problem is J.T. had no idea their pretend relationship would be better than anything real he's ever had...

Grr - Start but decent end!

3.5 Stars for me.

I really did not like the h or H at the start of the book. The H - my Dad had bad experiences so all relationships will end up badly. The h - my mom is so controlling so I will always do the opposite of what she wants! 30s seem to be the new 20s.

The story ends up well although the plot twist was just weird.

Problematic premise

The protaganist selects her mixed race friend to incite her mother's ire because she could spin a story that he has "baby mamas" and a criminal history. He should've run from her. Or at least had a serious dialog about racism. The happy ending is frightening.
