What was one of the most memorable moments of The Million Dollar Gift?

The Million Dollar Gift is a Christmas Story. It is a very heartwarming story. The story is very simple like a Lifetime Movie. And that sometimes the best gift one can give and receive cannot be bought. The narration is very clear.

Predictable

The story was predictable but at this time of the year (Christmas) one needs a good story to get back to their roots and realize what family is all about and that they are all there for each other, and this is just the story to do that.

A Nice SeasonaL Afternoon Read/Listen

What did you love best about The Million Dollar Gift?

It was a great story filled with all the goodness of love between family, those through blood and the strangers who become a part.

When Chase risks his life to save a brother and sister just before Christmas, his life becomes entwined with theirs more intricately than he could have imagined. Emotional and moving, this is a story of a young man whose troubled heart is tested by the one thing he is unprepared to face, love.

Would you be willing to try another book from Cheree Lynn Alsop? Why or why not?

Sure, this was a nice book-appropriate for this time of year (12/30.) I would like another one I might try to be not SO sweet.

What does Josh Carpenter bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Josh Carter did a great job with a cast of character from children to grandparents. I think it a challenge for a male to perform the roles of young children and women but he rose to the task, giving a solid performance.

Any additional comments?

NOTE: Rated G for everyone

Credit/ $ Worthy: *I was given a copy to listen to in exchange for my thoughts and review.* While I would not use a credit (as I rarely do for books less than 8 hours) I would consider purchasing it outright on sale.
