Publisher's Summary

For Mercie's Sake

A victim of rape, 16 year old Scottlyn Rich is disowned by her family when she refuses to abort the child she carries. Determined to raise her baby, she has no idea how to handle the obstacles ahead. Widowed school teacher Diana Kensington lost everything she held dear the day her husband's plane fell out of the sky. Can trust be built between these two lost women? Can they work together to fill the void in each other's lives, for Mercie's sake?

Begging for Mercie

College student Scottlyn Rich has overcome tragedy - and moved on. She's about to celebrate her daughter's first birthday when she receives news that the young man who raped her has died in prison. Grieving mother Penny Nelson believes there is only one way to assuage her grief - take the baby and raise her. Scottlyn didn't draw the battle lines, but she's determined to defend what's hers. Can God find a way to bring peace to both women, or will someone end up begging for Mercie?

All About Mercie

Scottlyn Rich is 67 days from her wedding to Grant Weber, but she feels more orphaned and adrift than ever. Until her mother walks through the door. Grant Weber has spent two years earning Scottlyn's trust and can't believe how easily she's willing to accept her mom's excuses. There's something off about Jocelyn Rich and he's determined to find answers even if it costs him everything. Will Scottlyn allow deception to derail her future, or will she take hold of wisdom and realize that her life truly is all about Mercie?

    "Wonderful Story"

The Mercie Collection was definitely a surprise! Scotland ( isn't that a great name!) finds herself pregnant and thrown out of her home by her father. Even though she isn't really a Christian she finds herself in a Christian school and from there it's just a matter of following God's plan. But what exactly is His plan and how can she be sure she is doing the right thing? She knows she will keep her baby ( appropriately named Mercie) but how? She is 16 and homeless. I loved the twists and turns Srock kept throwing in the story. I listened to all three stories in a matter of days. If you need to be amazed at how God can guide us if we would only listen then dive into the Mercie Collection. The only criticism I can offer is the narration is painful to listen to. I finally got used to it but I didn't enjoy it. The narrator sounded like a cross between a robot and Forrest Gump. Usually I get involved with a story so that I feel like I'm a part of it. Not this time. I felt like someone was reading a story to me with very little expression except for an odd uplift at the end of each sentence. If a listener can get past the narrator the story is excellent.

    Story
"Wonderful story, very poorly narrated though."

I loved the story and how it was handled, especially the surprise twists!! I loved the elements of faith that were included, and the way Scripture and Biblical teaching was woven in as the characters dealt with various life circumstances. Unfortunately, the narrator was awful, in my opinion! I almost stopped listening during the first book, but decided to try and ignore the narrator, because the storyline was so captivating, but it was difficult. Ms. Doughty read the book as if it was an assignment for an elocution class, rather than a story she was telling. She over emphasized pronunciation, among other things, giving the the final consonant of each word an extra syllable! For example, the word 'find' was pronounced 'finduh'. It was irritating and annoying and made the characters sound very unnatural. This book would have been much better to read myself, rather than listen to by this narrator.

"Excellent Series about every kind of 'Mercie'"

Story was great..I only wished it had a different narrator..she somewhat takes away from this story. Worth listening to..but tho I'm NOT a reader..this series may be better if read for some people.
