But when Darryl starts making Connie feel beautiful again, she questions whether or not her marriage is worth saving. Benny, a spoiled teenager, looks up to Darryl as a role model. When an unexpected event occurs, Benny is left questioning everything he's ever known. Krystal, Darryl's first love, wants to make things work with her current boyfriend. Yet having Darryl back in her life sends her happy home spiraling out of control. And, last but not least, Avery, Connie's husband, doesn't care about anyone or anything when a financial opportunity comes his way - that is, until he notices how much time his wife is spending with their new neighbor.

Everything seems to be going well, until someone is murdered, and everyone becomes a prime suspect.

Wow!! Entertainment! Excitement and Suspense!!

Well written with plenty of drama! Great plot that had me laughing out loud and talking to the characters: "yeah, well, you should know better!" I really liked the end of this story.... I didn't see it coming, but I got my wish for a happy ending. Be ready to suspend your belief when it comes to police procedure, but it works in order to push the story along the path to the ending that is a real surprise. The narrators are wonderful and performs the story well, even tho I didn't particularly like the "valley girl" voice for Crystal but after getting into the story, I begin to feel that the voice was perfect for the character's personality and even started to like the voice. Highly recommend for the entertainment value...

Suspenseful!!

I liked this book and had read it before and when I found out the movie was soon to be released I wanted to re-read it. To my dismay, I couldn't find my book. No problem I went on audible and there it was. Problem solved. Great read, fun characters.

Awesome "Who Done It!" story! Wow! Listened to the entire 9hr book during my 12hr work shift! I loved it!

I am a big fan, and this is one of his best yet!

Carl weber is an excellent writer, I am drawn in to every book of his I've read, this one is definitely a Winner!!

Wow!!!

I loved it immediately!! I've listened to alot of Carl Weber's books, but this was the first mystery!! I didn't see it coming either. Not wanting to spoil anything, all I can say is listen/read now if you haven't already!!

This audio book was awesome.. I felt like I was part of the story and that I knew each character personally....I rate my books on how they engage my imagination and the leading man in this book had my imagination juices following....I send a thank you to the author...

I was waiting for Carl Weber to drop a new book and I wasn't at all disappointed with this mystery. I like how Carl Weber let us meet the characters and the situations in their life that help you connect to the charcter. You even get the opportunity to meet the man in 3b and learn a lil about him before his death. I don't want to give anything away but I did like the narrators and the story was put together very well. It wasn't one of the best books I have read by Carl Weber but it kept my interest. Pretty good book Carl.
