Publisher's Summary

It’s the midpoint of the seven-year Tribulation. A renowned man is dead, and the world mourns. In heaven, the battle of the ages continues to rage until it spills to earth and hell breaks loose. The members of the Tribulation Force, three in the safe house and the rest scattered about the globe, face their most dangerous challenges. Some are murder suspects; others test the precarious line between subversion and being revealed.

Rayford Steele must escape Israel. Buck Williams must find a friend. Chloe, Buck’s wife, despairs for the life of her baby. David, Annie, Mac, and Abdullah are toiling inside the very lair of the evil one, always a breath away from lives as fugitives.

Love all the Left Behind Series

While the reader is not my favorite I still love these books. They make rethink life and where are you going.

fantastic book series

this book series is fantastic. I like how they used biblical prophecy and made fictional characters to play out what the Bible says is coming and we can see how it is being set up to happen before our very lives.

it seemed to drag along in this book

it was an important book and the suspense was built as what we all knew was coming came, but not untill the end, which is why it dragged along. was worth it though.

Be careful before you download. Narrator changes

I was so exited reading and downloading the left behind series, and got used to Richard's voice as the narrator. I was disappointed when I downloaded book 7 and found out a different narrator named Jack S. If you have been listening to Richard's narrations, check before downloading. I lost one credit and had to download the one with Richard's voice. I am not saying Jack S. is a bad narrator, but if you have been listening and getting familiar with Richard Ferrone, you are going to be dissapointed. Audible should warn about this. Actually if you browse the left behind series, it shows the Jack S. version. I am very dissapointed. Lost one credit, but very exited to keep on reading. I have not been able to find book 8 with Richard's voice though. It is not the same.

Hurts the ears!

What would have made The Indwelling better?

Get a different person to read the story. Horrible accents and very static delivery. It makes me cringe.

What other book might you compare The Indwelling to and why?

The first books of the series had a much better narrator/reader.

How could the performance have been better?

A different person!

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Anger, sadness, disappointment but at the reader, not the book itself.

Any additional comments?

Can we find a new reader?

Predictable in some ways

The climax of the story, the actual redirection of the anti-Christ, comes almost at the very end of the book. The predictable people die in the book so the characters remain homogenous and those who expect themselves alone to be reflected as characters remain comfortable and never having to deal with "the other". And, some of the characters voices are either hard to distinguish or change during the acting out of the book. The accents sound the same, too, regardless of purported origin, like an American trying to effect a stereotypical foreign accent. But, Christians suffer from the same biases and prejudices as others, don't we? Smh
