Publisher's Summary

"My darling Cecilia, if you’re reading this, then I’ve died...."

Imagine that your husband wrote you a letter, to be opened after his death. Imagine, too, that the letter contains his deepest, darkest secret - something with the potential to destroy not just the life you built together, but the lives of others as well. Imagine, then, that you stumble across that letter while your husband is still very much alive....

Cecilia Fitzpatrick has achieved it all - she's an incredibly successful businesswoman, a pillar of her small community, and a devoted wife and mother. Her life is as orderly and spotless as her home. But that letter is about to change everything, and not just for her: Rachel and Tess barely know Cecilia - or each other - but they too are about to feel the earth-shattering repercussions of her husband’s secret.

Acclaimed author Liane Moriarty has written a gripping, thought-provoking novel about how well it is really possible to know our spouses - and, ultimately, ourselves.

    "Captivating from beginning to end"

Not only a great piece of fiction, The Husband's Secret is an essay on the effect secrets have on relationships, life in general and the well being of the soul. Even in the epilogue you see how personal choices can change the future of a whole community. Well done!

Would you listen to The Husband's Secret again? Why?

I like Liane Moriatry and have bought several other of her books. Story was good. Good ending. Love the narrator Caroline Lee! She is the best!

    Story
"Women Succumbing to Men Who've Wrong Them"
Would you try another book from Liane Moriarty and/or Caroline Lee?

I read this one after Big Little Lies, which was a mistake. Liane Moriarty uses a lot of the same character descriptors and dialogue. She hit the nail on the head of the grade school mom culture in Big Little Lies; this book was a watered down version.

Has The Husband's Secret turned you off from other books in this genre?

No, I still like the psychological thrillers. I'll continue to listed and read them.

What about Caroline Lee’s performance did you like?

She does a good job of delivering the text, even when it is repetitive and mundane on the page.

Was The Husband's Secret worth the listening time?

It could've been three hours shorter.
