Publisher's Summary

National best-selling author Keith Lee Johnson enjoyed breakout success for his novel Little Black Girl Lost. Now Johnson introduces Nelson Kennard, a former number-one NBA draft pick who blew his chance at the big time - and is about to lose the best thing that's ever happened to him, sexy school teacher Parris Stalls. Soon-to-be-dissed Nelson may have been a playa back in the day, but there's always another baller waiting in the wings.

OMG - Listen To This Book

OMG -this book was so over the top! It wasn't your typicl romance - had lots of drama and intrigue all the way up to the last sentence! The main character was hilarious. I found myself rooting for him all the way thru - even though he made some crazy decisions. In the end, it all turned out.....read this book, u won't be disappoited!

It was OKAY

I purchased this book after reading the reviews. It was okay but not all that. It would be enough to keep you entertained if you're driving long distance alone. In my opinion, the buck stops there. Thank you and have a nice day.

Change Reader

I listened to the first few minutes and I couldn't continue to listen to the way the reader interpreted these words. This book is meant to be read by an African American or at least someone who understands how to reprise the works of one, correctly restating the terms in the dialogue that it was meant to be understood.

Captivating but went overboard

This book held my interest, but I didn't really care for any of the characters. I hope I NEVER meet anyone as diabolical and vindictive. The worst, and the most unbelievable part, was about the pirates. I was through at that point. The "slave" part was equally incredulous. It was too much all the way around!

oh my goodness

This book is excellent. I have to tell you, I have listened to a lot of books but this one is one of the best. I highly recommend this book if you enjoy twisted plots, love, action and just great entertainment. The narrator did a wonderful job. Dont miss out.

Can't Stop Listening

This is one of the best listens I've heard in months. Keith Lee Johnson really lets you get into the story from a man's point of view. I couldn't stop listening; the characters are crazy and there's DRAMA, DRAMA, DRAMA!!! Loved it.
