Publisher's summary

The Gift of a Legacy is tender story reminding us that shifting the focus from ourselves to others usually ends up changing us, and often times even the world. Joey Anderson attended his great-grandmother's funeral because he expected to receive a little inheritance money. What he didn't expect was to inherit her bed-and-breakfast, provided he lives there and follows her final instructions. With a little help from his friends, Joey grows up and discovers a world beyond me, my, and I.

Where is this Author's head burried?

I bought this book because it was narrated by Ray Porter - and he came through. It was the only think that kept me listening. The book was written by someone that thinks there are simple answers to everything and if you just know that you will solve all the problems that a directionless man has. He didn't really have the answers, just a lemonade world.
It was written in first person about a different man who had all the problems. It did not go into the struggles that the second man had or the psychological problems that he needed to clean up. The author just gave him some tasks to do that miraculously changed him into a "good" man with the desire to become one of the lollipop crowd and I'm sure go dancing off with them to bring other men to their senses.
I'm not opposed to goodness. I am opposed to a writer who makes a list, gives an example for each point and then calls it a good novel - or in this case novella. Give me a good book for my money.
