Publisher's Summary

Dr. Kasen Phillips has the magic touch when it comes to helping his patients who are in dire need of counseling services, but when the love of his life winds up missing in action, Kasen's life takes a horrific turn for the worse.

His office manager, Voncile Harper, is there to lend a helping hand. She's on a mission to shake Kasen from his misery by offering him her sweet heat, which he can't resist. It's not long before Kasen finds himself caught up in a web of Voncile's lies, and when he realizes that he may have bitten off more than he can chew, he wants out of their reckless relationship for good.

Unfortunately for Kasen, walking away may be difficult to do. Voncile is deep in love, and any man who refuses to play by her rules may be forced to suffer dire consequences.

Narrators issue

The female narrating this book did not do a good job impersonating the main male character. Since the book was from a male perspective, the impersonation, became very annoying. I love Carl Weber books, but was disappointed with this as an audible version

Not very happy

the narrator makes the book hard to read. I'm not finished with the book but I had to write the review....this book has been pissing me off! I can't wait for it to be over and make sure this crazy chick gets what she deserves. I am seriously angry about the way vonciel's character is so....so...CRAZY and mean.

Predictable

Struggled to finish due to the narrator. Story was pretty much predictable and the ending was blah.

predictable and boring

I found this story to be very predictable didn't have enough action in it for me. this book was out of the normal from what I'm used to getting with Carl Weber and I didn't like the fact that it only had one voice doing the narrating for everyone

Narrator sucked!!!

This book was ok, not his best work. I think the narrator could have done A LOT better!!! She messed up a lot and her imitation of a man wasn't great. The story was ok but somewhat unbelievable. Also think it could have ended better.

Sex Ad Nauseum

Typical Weber, supposed black women as obsessed with sex as the men. Carson, as narrated, sounded dumb and unlikeable. This book lacked the fun and ability to pull you in like most of Weber's other books. Not recommended unless you like shallow stories with raunchy characters and gratuitous sex.

AWESOME!

This is a typical stalker chick and jealous best friend story.Their motives were pretty weak, but I guess crazy people aren't supposed to make sense. However, it was suspenseful and I truly could not predict the outcome, so for that I gave this a four-star rating. The narrator did a pretty good job keeping it interesting and giving the character's personality through voice. great job I will definitely continue to read and listen to Carl Weber's books.
