Publisher's Summary

William Lewis is a literary agent. Over the years, he's been able to perform his duties in the small town of Perry, in Sardis County.

As a literary agent, William has gone over many contracts in his time. He's signed off on them as a witness, and helped his clients get the best terms that he can.

William is having lunch at Ethel's Diner in Perry when he's approached by Raymond Hollingsworth. Hollingsworth has a contract that he'd like William to look over and sign off on as a witness. William agrees to do so.

What William doesn't know is what Hollingsworth has up his sleeve.

Very short but interesting

A interesting and enjoyable very short audio story that has a great twist at the end and a good play on words. Short but creepily entertaining. I received the audiobook at no cost and under no obligation to review.

Fun short story with a great twist

I really enjoyed this short story. I thought it was clever and well-written. And I LOVED the twist at the end. I don't know if I've read any other books in this series, but I would definitely check them out since I liked this one so much. I listened to the audio version narrated by J. Scott Bennett. As always, his narration is excellent, and he gives such unique voices to each character and makes them come alive.

Any additional comments?
This was a short, fun read about, as the name implies, making a deal with the Devil. It's a well written story. While it seems predictable for the majority of the listen, don't be fooled. The ending provides a completely unexpected twist that will leave you shaking your head and smiling at its cleverness. The narration is clear and helps the story come alive. I really enjoyed this story and look forward to reading more from this author and narrator.

I received this audiobook as a gift from the author. His generosity had no influence on my opinion or review.
