Charles Martin is a a gifted writer, however his stories are sometimes hard to take, much like life, so if you listen to books to escape the difficulties of life, well, be aware. My favorite so far is Chasing Fireflies. This is a really good read but it makes you look at raw pain. I love the interaction between these true friends. It makes you aware of the impact we have on one another. Charles Martin's books feed us in a way I cannot define. It is like a light he shelters and his stories stir that in me.

Enjoyed the colorful characters in this book. As always, Charles Martin threads his faith throughout the book, without excessive preaching. Leaves lots of room for reflection! Highly recommend!

This story held me every minute right with the authors words and the very excellent narration. I liked the different kinds of love and caring that small community had
I didn't dislike any part of the story except the coon hunt, which was a little too real and the thought of snuggling pink... Yuck. But I will search out every book Charles Martin has written because" his words touch my soul.

If you could sum up The Dead Don't Dance in three words, what would they be?
Feels so good!
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Dead Don't Dance?
I think mentioning what is the most memorable moment to someone reading this review would ruin the story. Each person had to experience it for themselves.
What does Tom Stechschulte bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
The emotion that is brought to life by the reader makes the story all the more compelling.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
This book made me cry with compassion for the main character.
Any additional comments?
This is a must listen book.

Such a beautiful story. I am going to MAKE my husband read (listen to) this book. Charles Martin is a gift.
Charles Martin in the last year has fast become a favorite author of mine. I am inspired, challenged and entertained each time I listen to one of his stories on audiobook. I love the detail he puts into each book concerning the people and the setting of the story.
Sorry guys, but this was soooo cheesie! It went from dumb to dumber. Skip this one!
