Publisher's summary

Princess Elwytha wants revenge on the monster who murdered her brother. In a false exchange for peace, she offers herself in marriage to the enemy Prince. The plan? Kill the Prince's battle-scarred Commander - the man who ended King Thor's life with one filthy sword thrust through the back.

To her horror, the Commander agrees to take Elwytha as his bride. Worse, the wedding date will be sooner than expected. Not all is lost, however. Now, she has more opportunity to be alone with him - and exact justice. But the deed is not so easy now. Fighting her innate sense of honor, she begins to see the ironclad integrity of the man behind the scars. And with this knowledge comes doubt. Did he slay her brother? What exactly is the new king's plan? Whom can she trust?

Elwytha must decide well, for more than her life is at stake. Soon she must betray either allegiance to her kingdom - or the man who is quickly claiming her heart.

Beat around the bush much?

It's just plain awful. You can predict the plot line from a mile away, very little character development. The main character Princess Elwytha is suppose to be some sort of warrior princess trained in several weapons, yet it the book she is portrayed as a whiny, immature, slow witted teenager that is pretty much always crying, which is a complete oxymoron to a person with combat skills. The narrator made the story even worse, it was like the story was being narrated by a female William Shatner, just terrible! Huge pass on this one.

Really Bad Narration

While the story line was pretty good the narrator was horrible. Long drawn out syllables at the end of almost every sentence. Thank goodness she did not add more than one accent because the one she used was really bad. If I had gotten I
This book for free I would of just returned it and gotten another but since I used up one of my credits I went ahead and suffered through it. Needless to say I will steer clear of any thing narrated by This narrator in the future.

What a bad choice of narrator!!

Why have it narrated in American English ? So jarring and bad delivery I couldn't finish. Too bad as I thought the story was good
