Feel Kind of Cheated...

The book was great until the end... I felt like I wasted hours of my life that I will never get back... Debating whether I should purchase #3 or not...

Don't waste your credit! Good read but it was a dream!

So this book kept my attention all the way through. I finished it rather quickly, but only to find out it was all a dream from one of the characters. So if you read book 1 the real story will pick up in book 3. If you just want to listen to it for the hell of it, it is pretty interesting but it's kind of a waste to buy because you won't find out what happens until you get to book 3.

Reality of the Mind

Hearing the story about the Murder Mama's and how they came about was very interesting listen. The thing I liked the most was how the author portrayed Miamor and how the challenge in her childhood turned her into the murder that she became.
If you have ever held a gun in the face of danger then you know the thought process that occurs before pulling a trigger, either shoot or be shot. Most people would hesitate before just shooting but sometime that last thought is the difference between life and death. The scene that I remember the most was the situation where Miamor almost died at the hands of one of her targets.
My favorite character in the book was Murder and how he loved two women that happened to be sisters but because of his loyalty to Anissa he didn't give into his minds urges. The major theme in this book to me was LOYALTY and that's what makes the book a great one because it shows so many different approaches to the theme by the characters (either they were loyal or disloyal), it also shows that you can't underestimate people and also helps the readers realize people are never who they portray to be. The true reality of the book is what blows me away and left me speechless that's why I gave it 3 stars. You won't believe this one.

Disappointing

This book was a disappointing follow up to the first book. Skipping this one and going straight into the 3rd wouldn't be a bad idea. Cary is AWESOME as a reader, but the story is a letdown.

Just a thrown together money maker 4 the next book

The ending made me want to throw the book accross the room! Grade school level book except for the explicit content. The first book, even though it was predictably if you have read a lot of books like this, was more entertaining. Even though it could be that I've just out grown this type of literature. I think I need to start reading more things that are fulfilling to my soul.

Just bad

Would you ever listen to anything by Ashley & JaQuavis again?

No

What does Cary Hite bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He's awesome. He does his thing.

What character would you cut from The Cartel 2: Tale of the Murda Mamas?

The crazy man who kidnapped Breeze.

Any additional comments?

So many things don't make sense. Like it was 6 months later and Breeze is just now waking up in the man's house. What was she doing for 6 months? Was she in a coma? What? Why wasn't the Grandfather who was the actual Cartel the main character in the book? It was bad.

Love it...

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Yes, it's a good follow-up to the 1st one

Would you recommend The Cartel 2: Tale of the Murda Mamas to your friends? Why or why not?

Would probably refer to a friend

Any additional comments?

Liked the continuation of the story line, but didn't care much for how the Murda Mamas came to be. I would have preferred the storyline to continue with the Cartel and the Diamond family.

I'm hooked on the Cartel saga!

Finding out that Breeze was alive, getting to know Carter, and Mecca and learning the history of the Murda Mamas from Miamor really kept me going. Even though Miamor gets a taste of what she serves I was still rooting for her and Carter. And on top of that Murder comes home looking for his woman. I was exalted with anticipation ... and then came the twist at the end. I really didn't see this coming.
I was in a hurry to get to Cartel 3.
