Not close to his best
I thoroughly enjoy the intelligent, wry humour of David Nobbs, however in this one, along with Obstacles to Young Love and similar later work, he seemed to be crusading for his much-loved humanism as he was seeking to entertain. His own narration wasn't especially good either. Wish both views were otherwise. Not a patch on the original Reggie books.
