Interesting but unreal

The series is great. Very interesting but many parts made me roll my eyes because it was unreal. especially when Bless woke up from the coma. IM finishing part 2 and it was impossible to complete only because the narrators was HORRIBLE compared to part 1 narrators.

GREAT BOOK TERRIBLE NARRATOR! !!

I love this series. I listened to this book in one day. I would've given 5 stars but the narrator was horrible. She kept repeating the same thing. Leaves you wondering if they actually listen to the book beforw putting it out. She was HORRIBLE. I almost didn't wanna listen but it was a good book. FIRE THE NARRATOR

The Narrator

The story line was pretty good but the narrator was very elementary. I did not like the narrator and believes she made it unbearable to want finish the book.

I can't take the narrator

I really enjoyed the first book but I can't get through the 2nd one because the narrator is horrible. I wasted my $. Audible you should send everyone who purchased this book the hard copy to read. Too bad I won't know what happens next :(

Great story! Horrible Performance

I enjoyed the performance with Mr. Gates in part 1 and was excited to listen to part 2 until I listened to this very bad performance. And the editing was terrible. The amount of money we spend on these audible books you would think they could pay a better editing company instead of us having to listen the reader reading sentences twice until she gets it right. Really? Hell, I’m invested in this story now but I hate the performance will be by the same person in part 3. Sucks! I’ll know from now on to NEVER listen to another book with this performer.

Don't do it!

As has been written by others the narrator was unbearable. The storyline is rudimentary and unbelievable. I do not recommend this to anyone. I wasted valuable time from my life. I definitely would like a refund.

proof before publishing

The story itself moved along nicely. It kept a steady pace, had plenty of action, drama and all the makings of a series that could go beyond its urban label.

However, the low rating is for the lack of proofing employed from a grammatical or content perspective. There were incorrect words used which made some of the dialogue hard to believe.

While this narrator's sleepy or dry delivery did the audio no favors, I can only wonder if her pronouncing words like "clit" as "click" was her error or what the author wrote. I dreaded any sex scenes. She did mispronounce other common words that could have been caught or corrected with a rehearsal. There are also moments where a line is repeated.

All in all, I have enjoyed books 1 & 2.

Bring back Mr. Gates

I found myself not wanting to hear this woman talk. She did not make the different accents of the characters. she was very bland and and lifeless. she made the story drag on and one. I don't even want to get the third book. because she (Tracie T Elice Christian) is the narrator. Mr Gates made the first book words.
