Another great one by Chuck Buda

I absolutely love Buda's Son of Earp series. I like to listen to audiobooks in the car but realized I need to be careful with this series. I get so consumed listening that I miss exits and turns. If you haven't read or listened to any of Chuck Buda's novels before, this is a great series to start with. He has strong character development and a great way of painting a picture with words. You feel like you're there. Just be careful if you're driving. 😉

Soul stealing

A man who calls himself preacher steals souls of anyone that gets close enough. Beware being a part of a large gathering!

I enjoyed the performance by Jack Wallen. Loved the voices he uses for each character.

Another win for this series.

I am enjoying this entire series. the characters are so likeable and innocent you can't help but root for them. this one was a little more blood and guts but not too much. the author paints a great picture without having to be to graphic.

A Great Western Horror Story

Summoner of Souls is a Wild West horror story fast paced horror/western in the best of the pulp fiction "Weird West" tradition. With a madam, a school marm, a developmentally challenged sidekick and a preacher who is definitely NOT your run of the mill man of God, it's a page turner that will have you repeatedly saying "just one more chapter and I'll turn in for the night". Not that you'll be comfortable turning off the lights. This one is scary, not in a chainsaw slasher or gangs of desperadoes way, but with that vaguely uneasy, things that go bump in the night fashion that characterizes the best of greats like Ray Bradbury, Harlan Ellison and Steven King.
The Audible version is voiced by Jack Wallen whose lazy, western drawl provides a perfect counterpoint to the intensity of the plot action.
This is a good one - well worth your time.
