Publisher's summary

Claire is a 20-something, single mom who grudgingly helps her best friend sell sex toys while she attempts to make enough money to start her own business to give her foul-mouthed, but extremely loveable (when he's asleep) toddler a better life.

When Carter, the one-night-stand from her past that changed her life forever, shows up in her hometown bar without any recollection of her besides her unique chocolate scent, Claire will make it a point that he remembers her this time.

With Carter's undisguised shock at suddenly finding out he has a four-year-old son and Claire's panic that her stretch marks and slim-to-none bedroom experience will send the man of her dreams heading for the hills, the pair will do whatever they can to get their happily ever after.

Warning: Contains explicit sex, profanity, and enough sarcasm to choke a horse.

WARNING set 2013 - disparages women to insult men

I liked this book - the narration was pretty terrible though -no change in voices for the main characters and sometimes confusing to know when it was the guy talking, especially when it went from her perspective to his in the same chapter without acknowledging it. But really - I had to check when this was written as the vagina jokes, the 'bitch' comments between male characters as well as the constant disparaging 'don't be a pussy' or 'I'll go buy you tampax' as an insult to male characters got really old really quickly. I don't normally bother to review books but this one was just too much as could be triggering to some listeners. Listened to more recent books of hers and was nothing like this.

A Little Disappointing

I'm the romantic fiction junkie in our little foursome; both straight and lesbian, after listening to the novella Tattoos and TaTas I wanted to get all of Tara Sivec's Chocolate series. Okay so I'm happy now this was the only one we purchased this time. There were far too many vanilla sex scenes that mainly served to take up time and did very little to advance the story. Speaking of which, it took way too long for the obvious identity of the protagonists to be revealed in the book. Plus Gavin, the kid was out of control and like too many fictional kids he never got corrected by his parents; for some reason too many authors think this funny. I realize that it's easier to be write interesting fiction for three hours than it is for ten but after the novella this book was a huge disappointment. Despite this, there were enough really good moments in this one that I'd still make a positive recommendation for this book.

Maybe I wasn't in the moody for this read,. Couldn't get past 2 chapters due to narrator I liked Romy's narration in other books, just found book & narrator incompatible....

funny

Any additional comments?

This story is very funny and very raunchy. I listened to it on audio and probably would have liked it better if I had read it.

It's a cute story - nothing more nothing less

Is there anything you would change about this book?

The vagina jokes get old after a while.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

Most interesting was Claire getting pregnant after a one night stand. The least interesting was that the kid gets annoying after a while.

Have you listened to any of Romy Nordlinger’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes, I like her as a narrator. She helps the story line in many ways.

Was Seduction and Snacks worth the listening time?

I was looking for a funny cute story and this was it but I won't be continuing the series.

Sweet like Chocolate

Where does Seduction and Snacks rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

In my Top 15, I found it very entertaining

What other book might you compare Seduction and Snacks to and why?

Any of Tara Sivec brilliantly funny book, always great value

Have you listened to any of Romy Nordlinger’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No, this was this first for me and I really enjoyed her work

If you could take any character from Seduction and Snacks out to dinner, who would it be and why?

Drew LOL, he was ridiculously crude, very inappropriate but my god he made he laugh.

Any additional comments?

Big fan of Tara`s books and its great to be able to enjoy them on audio without them losing the brilliants of the book. Nothing worse then reading a funny book and the audio comes out a dud, not this one folks.

Warning - be prepared to LOL

This book was absolutely hilarious to me. I have to say it took me 3 times to start it because of distractions, but once I got over that I couldn't put it down, unfortunately for me I had less distractions at work so I was sitting at my desk listening and laughing, I would like a kid like Gavin in my life and friends like Jim, Liz, Drew and Jenny. I did have one problem with the narration, I kept getting a little lost on which character the book was on. I think that if the narrator would have changed her voice or even if there was dual narration would have made this book higher than a 5 rating for me. I do not know how anyone would be able to walk away from this book and not think it was feel good, humorous story. I could have summed this up with just two words (F*%#ing Awesome) but the review requires a specific amount of letters.

Good story ok reading

The book is funny. I enjoyed the story and Laughed out loud. The narrator was enjoyable to a point. But I thought her voice was a little old for the character which annoyed me a little. Also she didn't really change her voice for carter to sound like a man so at times I would be confused for a little bit about who was talking. Hearing carter talk about his man parts in an older woman's unaltered voice was trying.

Great Story, Very Funny

Lots of laughs and interesting characters. my only complaint is that it was ofyer hard to understand ccx which character was speaking. I would prefer the character's name as the chapter title ILO the funny titles. narrative delivered the humorous line and sarcasm well but a male narrator may have been a better way to go.
