The Pringle brothers, especially Andrew, take Victoria under their wing, and she is allowed to work in the kitchens of the castle, once the domain of Mistress McCrady. As Victoria grows into a beautiful young woman, and a talented cook, she must face up to new choices and opportunities, and come to terms with a long-buried secret in her past.
What would have made Secrets in the Heather better?
I am very disappointed that there is cursing in this book.
Would you ever listen to anything by Gwen Kirkwood again?
It is doubtful that i will listen or read anything by Kirkwood again.
Any additional comments?
I think I will stick with Miss Read, and D. E. Stevenson.
