Robyn Carr's Virgin River series continues to be entertaining in Second Chance Pass that includes returning characters and introduces new ones. These people have depth, mystery, strengths, and weaknesses that make them interesting and believable. I enjoyed the multi-generational love stories - teens through seniors. Therese Plummer's narration is amazing. You actually think you're listening to multiple voices.

    "Dramatic"

Robyn Carr writes amazing love stories and Therese Plummer is the perfect narrator for her writing. I love this series and anxiously await each one to audible. Second Chance Pass brought so much drama to the story I was amazed. This is no carbon copy of the previous books in the series but expands on the new characters along with the ones we have already come to love and appreciate with such intelligence. This is a awesome writer.

    "Wonderful Read"

If you haven't had the opportunity to read Robyn Carr, do so now! The Virgin River series is a fabulous series! Begin with Book one and work your way through the series. Therese Plummer is the best narrator I have ever listened to, she takes me right into the story and drops me into Jack's Bar with the rest of the Virgin River gang!

    "A beautiful love story..."
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good love story. This series is wonderful and I would recommend reading it in order. Although each book has a main love story, it has many secondary and interesting characters whose lives evolve on each book.

What did you like best about this story?

How it's such a sweet love story that makes you feel hope and believe in happily ever after even after tragedy and loss occur in your life.

What about Therese Plummer’s performance did you like?

Therese Plummer is the best narrator ever.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

When love hits you, you just can't escape :)

    Any additional comments?

This is favorite love series. I love each book!

    "Geeze Louise!!!"

I had been reading non fiction, and some heavy mystery and felt I need to lighten up. The first couple were cute and light hearted and the narrator was good so I went along for the ride. The plots were light but that is what I was looking for, right? The author introduced new characters (that's always a good thing) and then the slippery slope began to be a head long rush into Babyland. Everyone had either just had a baby, or was pregnant or trying to get that way. The new characters met fell madly in love in a very short span of time and then they on their way to Babyland. Same theme over and over just made me tired!

    "Not a great story line"
This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

The other books in the series were way better. Now Im not sure if I want to continue with the series

What could Robyn Carr have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

    better story line

Which character – as performed by Therese Plummer – was your favorite?

none but I thought the heroines brother was super annoying and not believable

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Second Chance Pass?

Id just pass on this story altogether

    Any additional comments?

    no

Reading allows me to travel through time; to visit the world's unique and stunning places. To become somebody I am not... It is glorious.

    "Predictable."
Would you try another book from Robyn Carr and/or Therese Plummer?

I don't know. They are easy to read/listen to. But each book feels less compelling and less character driven than the last. I won't keep investing my money in books if I can predict the ending -- the complete story -- from page one.

"I'm a fan of the preacher man!"

I thought the first book would be impossible to beat, but with the amazing narration of my favorite Therese Plummer as well as the emotional and climactic story of Preacher and mysterious newcomer Paige - I couldn't put it down. The writing is fantastic, the story weaving in characters old and sneak peaks of what is to come make this a wonderful listen that kept me up all night until I finished!
