My only regret with this book is that it ended! I highly recommend this beautiful heartwarming story. You’ll fall in love with the characters! The narrator does a wonderful job. Excellent on all counts!

A fun listen

I really enjoyed this story. Each and every character was likable. Even the ones you weren’t supposed to like seemed to grow a bit by the end. The narrator was enthusiastic and energetic but she made every character sound like a 65 year old woman. I mean they literally all sounded like Mrs. Doubtfire, which was a little tough when most of the main characters were supposed to be in their 20s and 30s. I would recommend this author but probably not this narrator.

LOVE!

Would you consider the audio edition of Scarlet Feather to be better than the print version?

I don't know. I never read the print version.

Who was your favorite character and why?

It's hard to choose! I related to all of them!

Which character – as performed by Barbara Caruso – was your favorite?

Again, it's hard to choose. The story equally addressed all of the characters--one was not more special than the other to me

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It definitely made me laugh at times! I didn't go as far as cry, but I did feel sad when the characters were having a hard time with money, relationships, and the restaurant issues in general.

Surprising

I needed a change after quite a few mysteries/thrillers and thought I'd give this a try. I was pleasantly surprised how enjoyable it was. The characters were all very likeable, the story kept your interest and, of course, I love anything Irish. The ending wasn't what I would have written but you can't have everything.

Lovely!

As always, Maeve Binchy delivers a wonderful story with believable and sympathetic characters - and even a few you love to hate. And I’m always a fan of a pretty ending.
