I love a happy ending :)

Ah, I listen to this on my kindle in the car, what luxury having a book read to me to make the journey 'my time' rather than a boring routine! Lovely story, not in depth so not much concentration required, few main characters, easy listening, I just knew there would be a happy ending - lovely narration, great expression. I am looking for the next book now!

The story was great. Not so keen on the narrator

I quite enjoyed this story and if I had read it myself would have given it a 5 star. Just what I wanted when looking for a romantic novel. funny in just the right places and interesting enough to want to hear the next chapter.
I'm not going to lie, this is my first audio book so can't compare to others but I found the narrator ever so irritating. The voices she puts on for individual characters were just so annoying. Xander constantly came across as annoyed or angry even when he was supposed to be overjoyed and Will sounded like a toddler. On a plus note, she can do a great northern accent but that's all I can say.

Good story and fantastic narration

What does Julia Barrie bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

Julia Barrie really changed this from an average easy listen to something great. I found myself laughing loudly quite a lot during the audiobook. Her narration brought all the characters to life, especially Lady Lydia.
