Sometimes opposites don't just attract--they catch fire and burn the city down.
Is it true that you can't always get what you want?
Shaw Landon is a good girl from a nice family. She knows what she should want: top grades and then a steady job and, someday, a nice guy to take home to her parents. She also knows what she shouldn't want…but it's hard to stay away from a guy like Rule.
Rule Archer is the guy your mother always warned you about: a tattoo artist with a cocky swagger, a heart-melting smile, and a wicked glint in his eye. With his terrible reputation, he's used to getting everything and everyone he wants. But even he knows that beautiful Shaw is strictly off limits.…
But what if what you want is exactly what you need?
Praise for Jay Crownover:
"A wildly addicting read. You'll love Rule, the man and the book!" (Cora Carmack, New York Times best-selling author of Losing It)
"Deliciously real, raw, and romantic. Jay Crownover is amazing!" (Monica Murphy, New York Times best-selling author)
"The characters of Crownover's Marked Men series are all outlandishly colorful and irresistibly passionate, while still being so genuine that their stories become unforgettable." (RT Book Reviews)
loved the book even better as audio. started my love of the marked men and Jay crownover the author, she rock!
Loved it. Great story line with a surprise twist in the middle end of the day. Easy listen and interesting
Rule and Shaw are my favourite characters and have my favourite story line too. Opposites attract they say and never more true 😀😀
Not a very interesting story and the performances were a little dreary and monotonous. Not for me.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Shaw because she saw the best in a person, even when he was pig headed she stood by him.
Have you listened to any of Sophie Eastlake and Michael Rahhal ’s other performances? How does this one compare?
Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Laugh and swoon.
Any additional comments?
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and proceeded to buy the rest of the collection.
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
What did you like best about this story?
The first book in the Marked Men series. Absolutely loved it. Loved the contrast between Rule and Shaw. Loved their history. Rule is is sexy as sin smouldering tattooed bad boy. Shaw is a don't mess with me good girl. Both have troubled pasts centring around Rule's twin brother. It's a wonderful love story with a truly interesting group of guys and girls and I looking forward to reading more.
