Publisher's summary

The coauthor of Desperate Hoodwives, Meesha Mink set out on her own with the street-fiction hit Real Wifeys: On the Grind. The series’ second installment, Get Money, finds Harriet “Luscious” Jordan in serious need of scratch after her hubby Make$ is put behind bars.

A natural-born hustler, Luscious jumps into the party-promotion biz and begins pulling in big-time cash. But she can’t let go of a grudge against her old rival Goldie, and it may be her undoing.

Entertaining

This book was entertaining. I liked the twists in the story. Listening to it during my workouts made me smile and not concentrate on how long my workouts were going on. I’d get lost in what’s gonna happen next.

Amazed

I really enjoyed listening to this book from another person who was part of the first book.. Luscious was fierce and her motive to ruin Goldie made her succeed in the things that she did in her life. this story had me on the edge of my seat I didn't expect everything to unfold like it did. Goldie was still a bad chick in this story and I found myself siding with Luscious because of the dirty actions of Goldie from the first book. The narrator did a great job. The drama in this book was unexpected but this is what kept me listening to find out what's going to happen next. This is a hood novel though so all those readers who don't like street literature that include raunchy language and vivid sex scenes will not like this book. I loved this book and the way it kept me wanting to hear more.

Just OK

While this story was easy to listen to I wasn't really drawn into the characters. I was rooting for Luscious to come out victorious but I wanted it to be because she built a solid life for herself and proved Make$ and Goldie couldn't keep her down. I loved that she built a business with her cousin and Michel but I wish more would have been put into their business and making it successful than on Luscious making one bad decision after another. The story could have been just as strong without the childhood drama. She brought on a lot of her own drama by her actions and the police detective was overkill to me.

Phenomenal Performance!

When it comes to these hood love stories, Honey Jones is that girl! The vocal performance and cadence of the book our 5/5 overall. The plot never dulls and the vocalist keeps the reader engaged throughout the book. That baltimore accent does pop out every so often but, like Luscious says, f-ck it!!
