Publisher's summary

A sinking British ship, her crew and passengers—men and women alike—ruthlessly murdered at the hands of a French privateer. This is the nightmare Ramage and the crew of the Calypso stumble upon while engaged in a sweep for freebooters in the waters off Jamaica. Supported by his men in a thirst for righteous vengeance, Ramage sets sail to bring the murderers to justice.

A vibrant plot with very engaging characters.

Ramage and his loyal and devoted crew accomplish the impossible after their miracle conquest in the Leeward Islands. It a wonder his luck continues to hold, but we all know it's really calculating cunning.

Pope Continues the Story

If you could sum up Ramage and the Rebels in three words, what would they be?

Entertaining new twist.

What about Steven Crossley’s performance did you like?

Steven Crossley is the right man for these novels. He does a good job with the characters, and makes the story come alive.

Any additional comments?

Even though it is an entertaining book, the plot twists are somewhat anticipated. I love this series, but the father you get into it, you have continue to endure the old 'get you up to speed' routine for each of the main characters. That does become a little tedious at times. Still, I love the series.
