Not very historically accurate

And not favorite Elizabeth portrayal. But that’s just my opinion. While I wouldn’t recommend, someone else may love it.
But the inaccurate historical points are easily googled so you can figure them out

Could have been much better

The narrator’s voice was irritating as she sounded like a teenager pretending to have an accent. The story was as expected, nothing new, so historical fiction fans won’t be surprised.

a good mixture of fact and fantasy

A good mixture of fact and fiction. Easy to listen to. And seems historically accurate

An often overlooked queen, great book.

Enjoyed it very much. She is the daughter of "The White Queen," sister of the princes in the tower, lover of her uncle King RICHARD IRISH. He was killed by King Henry VII who she married and became wife and Queen. And finally, mother of Henry VIII. She saw much in her 37 yrs, reversals and riches. She's important to history.

This is a sweet story and one often overlooked.

I enjoyed the development of characters. After falling in love with the Stars Original the White Queen and the follow up the White Princess I felt like I needed just a little bit more of the life of princesses. This was the ticket.

Best Biography of Elizabeth of York so far

I thoroughly enjoyed this well researched biography of Elizabeth of York, whose story so few truly know. The author kept me captivated with her emotive scenes between Elizabeth and all the important figures of her life. I truly delighted in the performance of the narrator as well, who managed to easily portray this very British story’s many characters. I have now read 4 biographies on Elizabeth, and this is my favorite. Well done!

historical fiction

enjoyed listening to this well researched historical fiction about a Queen not often discussed. She came to life and the reader was well chosen.

Nothing new and boring narrator

What about Rachael Beresford’s performance did you like?

The narrator was so wrong for this audiobook... She probably fits better in a fairy tale or children books. She had the same intonation for all characters and it was painfully slow and had no emotion at all!

Any additional comments?

I probably tried to finish this book at least ten times... it was boring and not at all engaging.
