Publisher's summary

This book is an erotic gay romance, with explicit language and steamy sex between two hot guys. For 18+ listeners only.

Rick Wentworth has had enough of one night stands and quickies in clubs. It takes a night of uncharacteristic hedonism to make Rick admit what he really wants - someone to love him. But for that to happen, he needs to make some changes. Rick can do that. After all, what's the alternative? And when he meets a guy who ticks all his boxes, he can't believe his luck. His boss Blake Davis, and Blake's fiancé Will Parkinson, however, aren't convinced. They want to know more about Mr. Perfect, and their instincts are keener than Rick's. Both men want to protect him. As it turns out, they needn't have worried. Rick has a guardian angel...

When Angelo Tarallo sees Rick for the first time, it's a match made in Heaven, as far as he's concerned. And when he rescues Rick from danger, it gives him the opportunity to get to know the man who has captivated him. Before long, it's plain to both men that this could lead somewhere. But when Angelo's traditional Sicilian family finally discover what he's been hiding from them for so long, an ultimatum spells heartache for the lovers - and worse.

Also contains a MMM scene.

My least favorite of the series, but still good

Any additional comments?

I listened to the 3 books available in this series in quick consecutive order and really enjoyed the series overall. However, this 2nd book didn't quite measure up to the others and weeks later, I'm having trouble remembering the story - except for being annoyed with Rick's "woe is me" issues until he gets his act together. Angelo was sweet in his protectiveness and love for his family - but I can't really remember much else about him!

The narrator was very good, though, and kept me listening.

A good sequal to Making it Personal

Who was your favorite character and why?

My Favorite character would probably have to be Angelo, he was such a caring person. Also, really liked how he expressed himself with his woodworking.

Who was the most memorable character of Personal Changes and why?

the most memorable would have to be Will because he made quite an impact in the first book Making It Personal and he makes an excellent best friend to Rick.

Any additional comments?

I enjoyed how this one wasn't an insta-love. These guys had to work for it & had some things to overcome.

I can't with the Narrator's "sex voice"!

I hope with everything that I have that the Narrator doesn't actually talk like that when he's having sex IRL.....

Read it to see into the lives others

This is the second book in KC Wells Personal Series. Not as good as the first the main story of Rick and Angelo was difficult for me to get involved in because Rick wasn't that likeable. A reformed hussy Rick decides he is ready for happily ever after and makes it very difficult to believe he has really gotten tired of his one night stands. I think Angelo who is in it for the long haul deserves better. But as unlikeable as the main story is the short glimpses into the lives of the other characters was great and the book should be read just to set up the back story for the third book which is fantastic. Cornell Collins is great and makes the characters stand out.

Wonderfully uplifting story

Set in London, two guys with different cultural backgrounds meet, fall in love, and are torn apart by family expectations. Angsty, hot, with a satisfying happy ending. It's fantasy, people, and I very much enjoyed being carried into a story where things work out in the end.

Personal Changes

If you could sum up Personal Changes in three words, what would they be?

Love finally found!

What did you like best about this story?

I loved the friendship between Rick and Will (and their co-workers) almost as much as the growing relationship between Rick and Angelo. I always felt that Rick had a great support system.

What does Cornell Collins bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Well, I have only experienced the book on audio, and I feel that he did a good job giving each character a very distinct voice. When he spoke as Julian, I didn't like him at all, and when he spoke as Angelo, I fell a little in love.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Yes, when Angelo's family came around. His sister in particular was wonderful.

Any additional comments?

KC Wells is a great author with a wide range. This book, while it had seriously sexy moments, was one of her more "vanilla" stories. I loved it just as much as her BDSM stories. Cornell Collins did a fantastic job bringing Ms. Wells' story to life.

Enjoyable

This was a decent story. The romance between Angelo and Rick was sweet and lovely, but the obstacles in their love just felt forced. There was a lot of elements of drama, but the main characters were able to push through and get their happy ever ending. Overall, I enjoyed the story, and K.C. Wells is definitely a talented writer, but it didn’t quite meet my expectations.

The narration was well done and I quite enjoyed listening to Cornell Collins' performance of the characters.

Deeply moving story!

Rick is looking to make changes to his life, trying to find a meaningful connection, but he trusts the wrong man. My heart ached for him and then rejoiced when he got to know Angelo better and discovered that yes, there is a man out there he can love and trust. Angelo’s not out to his family, afraid they’ll reject him, a heartbreaking prospect, and as a result, he’s distanced himself from them, trying to keep his secret. I really liked that there were some severe bumps in the road when it came to Angelo’s family, and how that played out with regards to Rick and Angelo’s relationship. It wrought havoc on my heart, but it made the story that much more realistic, and the emotions that much more real.

Narration: Cornell Collins does a wonderful job with his narration of this story. I loved the different accents and timbres he did, and the way he seemed to truly get all of the characters. Amazing performance!
