Misses so much

I know it is abridged but it misses so much out it's really not worth it. My girlfriend leant me the book and i'll admit l struggled with it so went for the audiobook. Learnt the hard way to never go abridged :-/ so although l still had to read the book it did in courage me to get through the slow start.

Fantastic!

Superb story and narration. Both shocking and hilarious all at the same time. Robert Powell really makes the characters come to life.

Rubbish

I purchased this book after reading the excellent Crickley Hall by James Herbert

what a disappointment It really is a depressing book found myself not caring for any of the characters and hoping the end would come sooner rather than later!

I recommend

This is a incredible book, my grandmother read it to me when I was younger (not younger younger) and it scared me and lead to many conversations about the afterlife and societal issues. It's got everything afterlife, sex, looks, society, the sex trade, experiments on those less fortunate but without it getting too much and making you want to look away
