Publisher's Summary

Amazon best-selling post-apocalyptic series

The end of the world was only the beginning.

Welcome to Origins , prequel to the best-selling post-apocalyptic series The Dead Years. It showcases three of the main characters in the early morning hours of the catastrophic infection.

We follow Randy as he attempts to escape the city and return to the one place he knows will provide safety.

Family members are not always who they portray themselves to be. Savannah finds out that this is the case in the most horrendous turn of events she could possibly imagine.

William leaves the safety of his home on a mission that appears doomed from the start.

Stay with the trio as they make there way through the hell that has fallen on every corner of earth, only to find that the infected are the least of their worries.

This is Origins, the world at the brink of extinction.

JEFF OOOOOOLAH

FEEDERS
I am on the fence with this one. First of all this is not a story, it is an introduction. I must admit it made me want to get the rest of the series. Nothing new is really offered here, but I was entertained and I don't know how much of that is due to the narrator. I was going to put book two into my wish list, but he wants a whole credit for 3 and a half hours. If the book was really, really good, I would consider it, but I was on the fence. These Zombies seem to be your regular run of the mill zombies and of course everybody is calling them Feeders. I have mentioned in other reviews my feelings on author's refusing to call a spade a spade or a zombie a zombie.

Mark Westfield
Please listen to the sample. This guy is almost comical. He reads the whole thing that way. He loves to drag out the first syllables of words. His deep bass voice, gets even deeper when he does one of the characters. At first I thought it was funny, but by the end I was kind of digging it.

Origins good, narration not so much

Good background story but narrator was distracting as his audible catching his breath between sentences was annoying. You felt like someone was simply reading to you which stopped the ability to become immersed in the story. Sorry. I really like Olah's books.
