Very touching and Suspenseful

Ooh what a great read!! Full of suspense and character; compassion and treachery; love and contempt and rewarding kindness.
This book speaks to the realities of the difficulties in marriage, the grieving process, the effects of past trauma on our characters, the influences of society and friends; the traps and temptations of keeping up appearances; and, abusive or toxic relationships. It's a book that reminds us of the importance of kindness and its rewards can be both direct and indirect, immediate or long term. It's a really good book and I can understand why it's a bestseller!

Average light reading

I liked the book overall but found the performance a bit difficult as Libby sounded so whiny. Perhaps that was the intention but I found it a shame.

I can never stop a book without knowing the ending but wish I had been able to do this with this one as I found it average and the simple plot a bit too drawn out.

Twee and irritating from the get go

The woman is introduced as a nervous, tweely plucky, incompetent fool. I prefer stories where the main protagonists are savvy and confident.

Love Lucy Dillon

Where does One Small Act of Kindness rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I love Lucy Dillon her stories are full of great characters I always find myself finding any excuse to listen to "just one more chapter" :)

What was one of the most memorable moments of One Small Act of Kindness?

There are a few but I'm not going to spoil it for the next person to find this lovely book :)

Which character – as performed by Lucy Price-Lewis – was your favourite?

All of them in their own way

If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Remember and your dreams could come true

Any additional comments?

This is the third book by Lucy Dillon I have purchased and have not been disappointed all of the books so far have twists and turns.
If there is something I could say is a negative of her books is I'm sad when Iv come to the end but then realise there's a couple of her books I still haven't read so there's always an upside.
The narrator is fab also and gives added personality to the characters :)

An excellent feel good story

I really enjoyed this gentle, feel good story. Yes it was predictable, but the little twists and turns through life's challenges were well portrayed through each of the main characters.
I liked the fact that none of the characters was perfect, but most came to recognise and deal with their faults.
Lucy Dillon portrayed Lord Bob in such a colourful way, he was so endearingly cheeky, that he got under one's skin. He definitely knew who was Lord of the Manor.
Lucy dealt with the aspects of grief that can be quite debilitating in a sensitive manner.
Worth a read .
I enjoyed Lucy Price-Lewis' excellent, clear, sensitive narration. She got the accents right, flowing from one to the next effortlessly, portraying the characters well, with just a couple of minor slips. The editing of the narration has been very well done. Many other books would benefit from such good editing. The story/ narration flowed seamlessly.

a feel good story

Lucy Dillon has given the listener/reader a wonderful experience in remembering the true meaning of giving without the need for receiving anything in return. I love the way she has incorporated previous characters into this story so naturally.
I am looking forward to hearing future books.

Interesting and unpredictable!

Great to read after reading "a hundred pieces of me" as it includes some of the characters from that book in a minor role in this one. This book is not as good as "a hundred pieces of me". In saying that, it is amazing! Thoroughly enjoyed listening to it. The story was unusual and as a result unpredictable. Recommend!

interesting characters and so well read!

loved the intersecting parallel plots. three dimensional characrers... like in real life. cant think of any other romance that deals with "sexually-acquired debt" and its affect on a marriage.
