can't pick a favorite

I was already battling to pick my favorite Lisa Wingate book, The Summer Kitchen and New Hope Road were at the top so far, now Never say Never wants in the race, I have read thousands of books over the years, but the story telling in these books are right up at the top, such lovable imperfect characters such deep and meaningful experiences, I love them, I can never put them down for the want of knowing more, never bored, never disappointed.

Hurricane/ Tornado

The hurricane and tornado experiences the characters experienced made me feel like I was right there in the church with them.

Great book

I can across Lisa's books by accident and quickly became hooked. Her use of words and ability to create a story that wraps you up with the characters is amazing. At times I wonder how she can create such a word picture. I've read and listened to a lot of books and hers are some of if not the best.

The meaning of family was evident throughout the book and how anyone can have a family even if not biological.

I loved the true southern accents and the twists of the plot. The story seemed as if it could easily be real. This is my favorite book in the series. Well done!

The end?

I liked the story but who doesn’t love Imogene and Danetta? The love story started late in the book 😞 and it ended suddenly and felt incomplete seeing there isn’t another sequel. It was uplifting for sure.

The Best of the Daily Texas books

This book especially had me laughing outloud at some of the comments Donnetta or her friends would say. It was a story that kept you interested in what would happen next. It had a good moral and reminds you to really look around at what you have. But especially learn to appreciate your loved ones. The characters were adorable and the narrators did a great job with the Texas accent :)
