Publisher's Summary

Molly Peel has been downtrodden for years, but everyone has their sticking point. At her daughter’s wedding she’s side-lined in favour of her ex-husband’s new wife. Her son, who lives with her, isn’t paying his share of expenses. It’s time to move on and make a better life for her. Molly leaves London, looking for a job, and finds more than she bargained for, including a new chance of love – if she can pluck up the courage to seize the moment.

But her ex intends to buy her old family home at a knock-down price and is an expert at dirty tricks to prevent her selling it. Will she find the strength to resist him this time and keep moving on?

A doormat who turned her life around

Would you consider the audio edition of Moving On to be better than the print version?

I loved the audio edition as I could just lie back and relax

Who was your favorite character and why?

Molly Peale was my favourite character. Like a lot of Married women with children she forgot who she was and turned into a dormat. Her husband was a bully but she bested him and came good in the end. I loved the way she cut off her children and left them to their own devices.

What does Penelope Freeman bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The characters appear more real when listening to someone else tell the story

Any additional comments?

A lovely uplifting story. It made me feel good

Second Chances at Love

A lovely little romance, if somewhat predictable...everyone gets what they deserve , and it's a nice "listen" as they get it.

Healing Book!!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

An excellent book for women who have been married to a narcissist. This book helped me realise I'm obviously not alone and that we can

What did you like best about this story?

I enjoyed this book because it pinpointed the need to stamp out bullying of all kinds.

What does Penelope Freeman bring to the story that you wouldn???t experience if you just read the book?

Penelope Freeman brings the characters to life and gives them a voice.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Moving On made me cry most of the way through as I have had all of the same experiences as the protagonist. It was also nice to have a happy ending.

dissapointing

I really did not care if I finnished this book or not as it was so predicatable, but the worst thing was the voices all the men seem to be dodgy, and the women soppy.
Not for me at all.

romantic silliness

A strange book indeed. Cliched and formulaic it is BUT, I wanted to finish it. Yes, it contains the usual "poor me" downtrodden woman and the charicatured baddie, yet I needed to know how it ended. I wanted to see if Craig got his comeuppance: if Molly "came out all right in the end". Read it and see for yourself.
