NOT a scottish accent

The story isn't the best, mere fodder as a time killer. The narrator's voice is horrid. Every time someone "speaks" who should be speaking with a Scottish brogue, all I hear is Irish...and they are not the same.

Super sappy and utterly predictable

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

I could not make it through the whole thing. Like others I was interested in these books because I loved the Outlander series, but I guess my expectations were way too high. These stories were written in the most simplistic way, the characters were superficial, no mystery was really developed, the dialogue was not even the level of young adults, and the entire plots completely predictable. I don't mind a good romance but this was just too sappy.

Has Morna's Legacy Set #1 turned you off from other books in this genre?

almost

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

the reader was ok. nothing extraordinary but then again the story was lack luster

Do you think Morna's Legacy Set #1 needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

no as they are all basically the same story

Loved the characters

Excellent story! Loved the characters. The reader using an Irish accent for Scottish characters was disconcerting...

Great intertwining stories

Only think I didn’t like about these stories was that they ended. Lots of twists and turns. Loved them!

A scrappy fun loving magical read

Thoroughly predictability storyline, enjoyably comically romantic. With just enough angst and suspense for the first two books in this series. The last was funny, but sad and can't wait for the brothers story! Writer needs to not rush the story... More could have been written for the background of each character, to give depth, less lamenting and hand twisting... This author has a great premise for continued stories. Maybe develop village characters that stand alone and don't fall prey to the magic, but become steadfast members of the storyline! To be revisted often, and woven throughout. I will be waiting for the next....

WONDERFULLY ENTERTAINING!!

The story and the storyteller we're supurb! The accents and masculine voices kept me wanting more. Now... on to the next book.

Great story!

What did you love best about Morna's Legacy Set #1?

I enjoyed the varied story lines, especially with the shifts in time and the relationships of those who travel between. Many themes are addressed, and done well. This is a light listen, entertaining and informative, just like I needed!

What other book might you compare Morna's Legacy Set #1 to and why?

If you are expecting Outlander, this is not it. That is not a bad thing though! As this is a lighter story, the historical details are present, but not as intense as in the other series.

If you could rename Morna's Legacy Set #1, what would you call it?

Quite possibly this could be called Morna's Matchmaking!

Any additional comments?

Give this story a chance and you will not be disappointed!
