Delightful trying to be evil!

This story even gets better in the retelling; this is my fourth time thru over the years. and still getting better. Poor Botch, when he learns what his name means, his love for a fellow demon...well, listen to the incredible reader and be prepared to have those little face aches from smiling.

What an Adventure!

Huge fan of the author. This book was fun, exciting, and an overall great adventure. I could get lost in this book all day... and I did. I've read the book at least 5 times, so having a chance to listen to it in the car, on my way to and from work is just awesome.

Great but a little nagging..

This was an interesting tale of a tortured demon that goes on to leave his home and venture into the human world, finding that the human world is also comprised of angels and demons. A lot of fun gorey details mixed with a few minor comedic moments, this was a very good story, but I couldn't help be VERY annoyed by the demon pleading with you every chapter to "burn this book" sometimes going on and on with all of the horrible things he is going to do to you if you don't burn the book. I'm a big fan of Clive Barker, but this wasn't my favorite book, based onthat alone. If you can choose to ignore those parts, the rest of the story was pretty good.

An amazing story

Absolutely loved the story. The performance was stunning. It sounded exactly how I imagined the characters would sound.

I have been waiting for a Clive Barker book for some time. The book was one of those where you feel compelled to finish and then ask yourself "why did i finish this book".

A tale that trys to get you to burn this book. It's one hell of a clever piece of writing. Barker at his finest. A shear masterpiece. Yet again.
