You can't keep a good (wo)man down

What made the experience of listening to Mercer's Manor the most enjoyable?

I liked all the little details of life on the prairies -- it gave me the sense I was reading about real people, not just stock characters in a horse opera.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Mercer's Manor?

Mercer's memories of life in Andersonville -- pretty lousy place.

What does John Burlinson bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I liked the way he read the various characters -- they all sounded really genuine.

If you could take any character from Mercer's Manor out to dinner, who would it be and why?

Glory B. Stahl sounds like a real pistol -- she'd be a lot of fun, I think.
