payback is many fold

I liked the ghost elements in the story. I was ambivalent about Ian. He messed where he eats- a big no no. His behavior with his past partner's wife was agregious PERIOD! So he deserved pain in his life and the collateral damage to his innocent family because of him, and it should have been a wake up call. Gangster behavior is never predictable or warranted, but it happens and made for an exciting story. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator was okay. She needs better soundproofing if she continues this .

Interesting storyline.

The beginning caught my attention and I found the storyline interesting but a bit over the top with a ghost element and Sarah’s recovery. The audio itself did not sound well, However the narrator did a great job.

Sound is weird

Not sure where this was recorded but it's done by the author and it sounds like she did it in her bathroom. The audio distracted me so much I DNF'd it.

A multi level story

The author weaves a story together from multiple strands. Along the way you may wonder how the strands of danger, romance, and the paranormal will come together but that is how a good mystery works. The author narrates her own book with a minimum of varied voices of the characters at times. Everyone has their own preferences and I found it easiest for me to listen by increasing the speed of the narration. It moved the story along for me in a way that was helpful to me and I preferred the sound of the narration at a little faster speed. Not much different than being able to read a book at various speeds. It’s a unique story and worth your time.
