Publisher's summary

In this fifth installment of the New York Times best-selling Meg series, Meg: Nightstalkers picks up where Meg: Hell's Aquarium left off.

Bela and Lizzy, the dominant megalodon siblings from Angel's brood, have escaped the Tanaka Institute to roam the Salish Sea in British Columbia. While Jonas Taylor and his friend Mac attempt to either recapture or kill the "sisters," Jonas' son, David, embarks on his own adventure, motivated by revenge.

Having witnessed his girlfriend's gruesome death, David has joined a Dubai prince's ocean expedition, tracking the 120-foot, hundred-ton Liopleurodon that escaped from the Panthalassa Sea. Haunted by night terrors, David repeatedly risks his life to lure the Lio and other prehistoric sea creatures into the fleet's nets, all while battling his own suicidal demons.

Steve Alten weaves these storylines together in a thriller that culminates in a final showdown between the most dangerous predators ever to inhabit the planet.

Steve Alten does it again!!!!

The continuing story of Jonah Taylor and his family’s horrific adventures and nail-biting encounters with Carcharodon Megalodon and other ancient sea creatures! The whole MEG series is phenomenal, and MEG: Nightstalkers is no exception! Great narration with solid characterization of characters makes for an audio telling that is almost as good as having a full cast! Can not wait to pick up the sequel MEG: Generations (and any that follow)!

another Meg story

maybe a little bit better than the last one. the narrator sounds like Chuck Schumer. I don't know the New York Jersey accent just doesn't do it for me.

Just Okay!

The story was just okay, it went off the deep end here and there which I didn't like. Those parts could have been left out in my opinion. The performance was amazing as always!

Another great book in the series

Book follows the story where the last left off. Really cool how it connects to the other series as well.

The MEG saga engulfs a new generation

Where does Meg: Nightstalkers rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

above average

Would you recommend Meg: Nightstalkers to your friends? Why or why not?

Yes, conditionally. The problem with long running series is that there is build up of backstory that tends to put people off. If the reader has been following the series, it was very good and recommended as the next step in the story path. As a starting point - it could be confusing.

Which scene was your favorite?

The time in the underground sea and its assorted lifeforms

If you could take any character from Meg: Nightstalkers out to dinner, who would it be and why?

Jonas Taylor...the man has more lives than a cat. And the stories he could tell.

Any additional comments?

If you have followed the series - absolutely go for it. New readers - Start with book 1: MEG
