Publisher's Summary

Maggie has always put her family's needs in front of her own, until one day - without forethought - she drives away, leaving behind her indifferent husband and two sulking teenagers.

As she begins a quest of self-exploration, she meets new people, enjoys new adventures, and rediscovers long-neglected passions. For the first time in years, Maggie contemplates what she wants from life and soon realizes that her deteriorating marriage can no longer continue as it is. Can she and Andrew repair their broken relationship, or is their marriage over?

Left to his own devices, Andrew is forced to take over the household responsibilities and bridge the growing divide between himself and his children. Slowly, he begins to understand what drove Maggie away - and how he can't bear to live without her. But is it too late? Will Andrew lose Maggie forever?

    "What??"

I'm mostly confused by this woman is so exalted for up and leaving her family (exactly what she hated her mother for doing). Her crappy husband? Ok, fine. If she didn't want to be with him anymore, then she was more than justified in leaving him. But her children? Her daughter is merely 13!! Not old enough by a long shot to take care of herself. She had no idea how that her husband was even capable of taking care of her. I was appalled by this book. And was definitely not rooting for Maggie.

"A woman I can relate to!!"

Great story that seems to speak to many women who are struggling with the many 'hats' they wear, and who, if anyone, appreciates it!

    "Enjoyable!"

Overall, I enjoyed this story and its characters and places. Though it is sometimes predictable and repetitive, this novel is a comforting listen for the beach, car, or home! The narrator is quite good too.

    "Excellent book!"

I could relate to this book so easily. If someone can write this story, other people must go through these trials too. Thanks for the understanding and well written book!

    "I enjoyed this book"

I related to this book as I too have felt like getting in my car and leaving my family behind for a week or two. The book was well written. The only thing I did not enjoy was the narrators voice of Andrew. The narrator was very pleasing to listen to other than that.

    "Loved it!"
Where does Maggie's Turn rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is one of the best stories I have ever listened to. Being a mother of four brought it all home. I think every one who has children and a husband and a home to take care of wishes they could do the same thing Maggie is doing.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I liked how her children stood by their mother. The husband was a selfish spoiled brat. I did not like him or his mother at all.

    Any additional comments?

Buy this book. I think you will enjoy it as much as I did.
