Although good story...much disappointment

Brooke Sanford is NOT an Amish narrator. The voices were so baby talk like I almost returned this book. Mature Amish women don't sound like 6 year olds!!! Very disappointed. She needs to listen to real Amish narrators and take a page out of their books!!! I am tired of these immature voices. Beverly Lewis always seems to find the best narrators.

Mostly Great

Most of this was a great story well written. Too much death for me, though. I loved the parts with the little people and the many different storylines, and I liked the ending. The narrator was a delight! Her children's and female voices were awesome, especially the kinner! Her men's voices were kind of goofy, but her depth of feeling and performance were great!

Very disapointed.

I loved all of Wanda's books, but this one is awful. The director needs to listen to this book, and he would surely make changes. The voice sounds like a teen girl trying to sound cute. The story talks about little people, which is ok, but then steers the widow away in case she would have children with the same condition. I quit listening 2 hours into the book.
