Publisher's summary

Acclaimed for his surreal, satirical vision and his "consistently dazzling" (Kirkus Reviews) writing style, cult favorite Tony Vigorito stretches the boundaries of storytelling beyond all limits with his long-awaited third novel. A quest to find the treasure of all treasures launches this swashbuckling tale of romance and high adventure across three centuries and takes you on a hilarious and visionary journey that includes lovers, pirates, bank robbers, treasure maps, yoga cults, love potions, assassins, con artists, quicksand, smugglers, and rock-paper-scissors. Welcome to the "incomparable imagination" (Minneapolis Books Examiner) of a Tony Vigorito novel. And beware the meadow of marvels. "A masterful story..." (Seattle Book Review).

WONDERFUL WIITY AND WISE

I thoroughly enjoyed this excellent double adventure! What could be better than star-crossed lovers outwitting, out-playing and out-lasting a New Age cult leader and an Ancient cult character (the Evil Ouroboros Serpent) in the mythical Garden of Eden? The original word-smithing and clever story telling of Tony Vigorito, dripping with sacrilegious humor, spiritual savvy and bawdy irreverence is very refreshing! The story closed with an uplifting and eternally happy ending. :) Wonder of Wonders, in an age of dystopian despair. The narration by Jeremy Arthur is performed as masterful entertainment. This is an audiobook I will listen to again.

The story tries too hard. to be inspirational

The only reason you'll finish this book is to find out if the pirates reach their goals. This is a book that tell two stories, the same two stories but in different settings. One setting is a modern day setting and the other a fantasy nautical setting. I found the modern female character so pretentious and misinformed about people and the world around her. The author seems to use this character to voice his own social views so much so that he comes very close to breaking the 4th wall. There are moment of dialogue were the couple sits and contemplates how corrupt the world and humanity is anf how they are above it all. The pirates on the other hand are a simple lot and the story has no other hidden meaning than what is being told. They are after treasure and freedom and they find love. They are being chased and they need to be clever enough to escape. It was this side story that I put up with the drivel of the other story. The narrator was great and performance wonderful.
