Publisher's summary

High-powered career woman Austin Lanier suddenly finds herself saddled with an inherited watermelon farm deep in the countryside. She's determined to sell the farm, until her new, drop-dead sexy neighbor Rye O'Donnell shows up.

Rancher Rye O'Donnell thinks he's going to get a good deal on his dream property - until he meets the fiery new owner. Rye is knocked sideways when he realizes that not only is Granny Lanier's city-slicker granddaughter a savvy businesswoman, she's also sexy as hell. Suddenly Rye is a whole lot less interested in real estate and a whole lot more focused on getting Austin to set aside her stiletto heels.

Love these books!

I have loved the books by Carolyn Brown. I have a hard cringe when the narrator mispronounces the names of towns in them though!

I could not engage in this book.

I could not engage in this book. I do not like the voice of the reader or her different voices of the characters. I felt overall it was awful.

Horrible narration

Story was good, would've been better to read it myself, narration was AWFUL. It took all I had to finish listening to it all.

Good story - bad narration

While the story was a cute, light love story I hated the narration. I’m from the south and know how accents sound - this narration was such an exaggerated twang it nearly hurt my ears! As always, Carolyn Brown did not disappoint with her story!

Not my favorite Carolyn Brown story

Where does Love Drunk Cowboy rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This was not my favorite Carolyn Brown story. I did not feel the narrator was right for this book, therefor it was hard to listen all the way through (I did finish). My opinion only...Brittany Pressley should be the voice of all Carolyn Brown books.

What didn’t you like about Ann Marie Lee’s performance?

Her voice wasn't right for this book. I feel like she made Austin sound dingy, and she was not.

Any additional comments?

Stick with Brittany Pressley or a voice like hers.

liked the story

I loved the premise of this book- city girl inherits grandma's farm, and turns out she loves the change of pace. Lots of the details were unique and fun. I wish the ending could have been expanded a bit. Compared to the rest of the story, it felt rushed.

Raunchy & Funny! by Carolyn Brown

Austin is an Oklahoma gal raised with a silver spoon. But when she inherits a Watermelon farm from an aunt, she quits her good bank job and moves near the Texas panhandle. But, she likes it and she really likes her across the road neighbor, a tall, gorgeous ranch owner and cowboy.

Sparks ⚡️ fly! And the story is light but funny.
Narration is spot on. You'll love it if you like light reading and a raunchy storyline. Enjoy!
